Notice to the Public: Any members of the public who wish to comment may do so by calling (605) 313-5689, Access Code 208324# before the Board convenes into closed session. Per the Governor’s COVID-19 Executive Orders, there will be no physical location for the public to observe the open session of the meeting and offer public comment.
3.0 CLOSED SESSION
While the Brown Act creates broad public access rights to the meetings of the Board of Education, it also recognizes the legitimate need to conduct some of its meetings outside of the public eye. Closed session meetings are specifically defined and limited in scope. They primarily involve personnel issues, pending litigation, labor negotiations, and real property matters.
