Program Information
Carver is the first public Waldorf methods high school in California. Our curriculum is modeled on the traditional Waldorf curriculum: a four year developmentally based high school program integrating arts and adolescent development into all areas of the program. At Carver, the curriculum is rigorous; academic classes emphasize the development of independent investigation, critical thinking, and applied academic and creative skills that students will later use to contribute to their community.
C.K. McClatchy Law and Public Policy Academy (LPPA)

CKM is honored to host Â鶹¹ú²úAV’s magnet program, the Law and Public Policy Academy (LPPA). The LPPA will provide students with a means to explore the broad range of careers within the field of law. Their courses at CKM will be taught through the lens of the legal system.

C.K. McClatchy Humanities and International Studies Program (HISP)

Program Information
The Humanities and International Studies Program (HISP), founded in 1985, is a rigorous honors program located at C.K. McClatchy High School. (See for more information on how the program began.) The curriculum—a unique global perspective on learning and understanding—prepares HISP students for success at any college or university in the country.
Arthur A. Benjamin Health Professions

Program Information
The mission of Arthur A. Benjamin Health Professions High School is to provide students with an anti-racist education rich with culturally-relevant academic, career, and leadership experiences while exploring health and medical sciences. Graduates will be well-prepared to succeed in a broad range of post-secondary academic and professional pursuits due to exceptional skills in critical thinking, communication, and cultural competency.
C.K. McClatchy Air Force Jr. ROTC Program

Program Information
The nationally recognized Air Force Junior ROTC works with students who desire to develop leadership potential. This open-enrollment program provides an outstanding scholastic program in the areas of aero-dynamics, science, history and cultural awareness. Building self-esteem through practice and through responsibility is a prime factor to which students are attracted.
C.K. McClatchy Criminal Justice Academy
Grades 9-12
Program Information
This magnet academy includes all basic high school course requirements plus specialized training in the field of law enforcement. Students will study the basic course materials used by those in training to be police cadets. Additionally, the curriculum covers investigative procedures, forensic science, physical training, principles of the law and wireless public safety communication. Students will have the opportunity to earn FCC radio operation certifications.
